    Default Mixed bag lake hopping...

Last crappie fishing outings w/B-n-L as he's headed back to Idaho next week. Thursday things started off good fishing lake Harney, till bout noon when the bite slowed. Blue/white plastics on jigs saw the most action, put the fish on ice & switched the afternoon bite to lake Jesup, however, didn't manage but 3 in 3 1/2 hrs & double that in Gar hook-upsMixed bag lake hopping.......so go back to Harney Friday right....nope we decide to fish Woodruff, which is usually good this time of yr & when we fished last April.... Woody was on- fire, even though the fish camp told us the speck bite was over & it was Gill season....trying to re-kindle those memories, it was not to be. Like last month, nothing was on the lake & everyone this time was fishing the shoreline, managed to eliminate the skunk by using the anchor to pull holes in the hyacinth along the Norris Dead river, jigged up 3 decent specks & maybe 10 small gills & couple more specks, all which got released. Can only a tribute Woody's strange conditions to lower than normal water levels, don't know, but has me thinking bout getting salty to change things up, any-hoo still made some more memories w/B-n-L & got caught up on each other's life's activities, hope you all get to share the boat w/someone & bend a rod in the process...Name: IMG_20220303_144237544.jpg

Goes to show you we can't catch all the time. You had some nice ones from Harney. Still was a good day with family and friends.

I Fished there 3 times this year, once with you, Eileen and I once and with Y-Slabs once. Did not do much all 3 times. Y-Slabs did real good one time in Dec. Getting a little late for them to turn on now. The brim will start soon. All I know is that if anyone can figure them out it would be you Jeff. Tight lines. Vic
