We have been braking ice in the morning with several donating taillights to the local ramps but crappie fishing has been good this winter. Fish are staying in about 22 fow and mostly stuck to the bottom.
Any combination of purple silver chartreuse and white has been best.
The 70 degree days this week have been welcome but that usually mean snow is coming in Kansas. Enjoyed a great day with friends yesterday on the lake. Be safe and bent rods.

Your right were going to get more snow , sleet this next week.![]()
Went out again Wednesday between ice storm and incoming snow storms. Wind was about 15 out of the east with white caps and 32 degrees. Fished the main lake channel. Found fish in about 22 fow and would catch 1 or 2 then they would shut off. Move and find more fish with same results. Spent most of the day looking for small schools of scattered fish only catching a couple. Water had went from 34 the week before to 42 that day. Moved about 3/4 of the way back in a big cove later in the day and found fish and caught 7 in a big brush pile in 12 fow.
First time we found them up shallow in a cove. All big females over 12" starting to stage. Slow day but ended up with 15 nice fish. Did find a huge school of small crappie 10" and under in river channel in 30 to 35 fow mixed with small wipers. Nothing better than a beautiful sunset to finish off a day on the lake
