    Default Crappie jigs styles

I ve been only tying for two years, so now I'm starting my 3rd year.
    What makes a jig work?
Color and size? A different look? Eyes or no eyes? Special hook, or style of head?
My question is because my jigs evolved to a different look. With others who sell, they follow the Chenille standard, mostly.
Does my jig style (be honest) have such a different appearance, that it's unlikely to be a fish catcher... or a sellable item. Although, I'm presently practicing, I might like to sell some when they look like a professional tied the jigs.

Very nice ties. I buy lots of jigs from Grizzly that are almost just like that. They are much smaller than yours, because I target bluegill more than crappie, but they catch tons of fish for me.

Those will catch fish. If a bare wood cedar plug trolled behind a boat convinces some dumb fish that it's food, those little jig heads should be great.

I think the fact that they do look a little different from the average crappie jig they would sell probably pretty good. Especially when they catch them! Keep doing your thing.

You have the confidence that is needed to fish what you have tied. The fish will love those. Good job.

    Thanks everyone....
This particular board and group is where I started.
2 years ago, I tied really ugly jigs. And you guys said , keep practicing, but some of you were true fishermen and lied and told me how good they looked. I knew they werent but I never stopped. I'm never going to stop practicing. That's what makes them better and better.

Confidence is the secret ingredient, Mike. Not often said but I believe in it.
