Crappie bite twice a day. 15 minutes before I get there and 10 minutes after I leave.
The sheep live in fear of the wolf but in the end it's the shepherd that eats them.
The two loudest sounds are a gun that goes click when it is supposed to go bang and

Interesting article.

That was an interesting read. I hear tale of livescope users taking advantage of a smaller 238 acre lake and bringing home hundreds and hundreds of fish lately. Here in NC most of our lakes have no limit. Being that small of a lake and not one of the larger ones I fear for it being ruined.

I read an article years ago about the flood control reservoirs in Ms. that article suggested more fish leave the lake through the spillway during drawdown every year than were caught by anglers. I don’t know how they would know that, but I do know tons of fish go through the spillways every year.
Back in my younger years my attitude was catch and keep as many as I could because they were about to be sucked out any way. I’ve slowed down a bunch since then.

I know you are talking about larger than a farm pond, but when it comes to smaller bodies of water it’s important to catch and keep large numbers to keep from overpopulation.
In fact, the limits on the big 4 here would probably have to be raised if the fish didn’t have the spillway as an escape hatch.
