Interesting useage of a Trout Magnet

I was recently at a yard sale where I found some fly tying goodies. In sorting through the boxes of stuff I purchased, I found, what I think was the beginnings of what was going to be some type of jig. I thought it would be neat for some of the guys here to see. I am, myself a big fan of this jig but have never seen it used this way.

The love for fishing is one of the best gifts you can pass along
The funny thing is, there were 3 packs of TMs in all of this stuff, and it is a large amount of fly/jig tying supplies, a few people have asked if I had wither bought out or was planning to open a fly shop. I am thinking this was a new idea to this person. I have seen a lot of folks trimming those silicone spiky koosh ball things for jig tails, but not this.
Neat find and now you can customize them yourself.
Could make some fine fish catching jigs for sure.
I have used trout magnets in a similar way .
I tied bunny hair on the collar and added a TM .
Gives a little bulk to a jig .
Honestly, the Trout Magnets are already in my jig box. We don't tie a lot, a few jigs here and there, my son does it more than I do. Most of this stuff will probably go to my grandson's kids, in their wills
. I knew guys that were serious about fly tying really got in deep, but I had no people had this much stuff. We found two small cigar style boxes that have dozens, maybe even hundreds of flies in them that we have no idea what to do with. We will never fish with them, and I feel bad throwing them away, lol, someone worked very hard on them.
I have started watching some videos on jig tying, to expand my skills since I now have the materials and tools. I do like the ones with a silicone tail and chenille body, but it never occurred to me that was to add scent to body.
