Looks like a perch or bluegill to me, which means it is on the menu for most predatory fish. Very well doneEric.

Well, that was what I was trying to imitate anyway, a bluegill. Very first try at it. I had the video I was copying the fly from where I could stop and start it, then about a third of the way through the tie, momma called from her receiver, and was bored waiting to get a dock so her trailer could be unloaded. She got there an hour early and it still took them 2 hrs. past her appointment time to get her a dock. Food warehouses, How I used to hate them when I was driving...Anyway had to put the tie on hold while I talked to momma for a bit...lol. I don't think it turned out too bad for a first try. This pattern can take suttle changes well, according to the tyer in the video. You can find it on YouTube..."Enrico Puglisi Bluegill/Sunfish Bass Fly. All predatory fish eat sunfish so I tied one now and will do a couple more in the next day or so. Very unique way the shape is done.
