Yep, time for something new there. Hopefully on the sly. If nothing else some rock piles set up to your liking.

The problem on that lake is it is a major water supply distribution lake . They pump it up and drain it down around 10 feet every year . This exposes lots of the typical cover near the shore when the lake runs really low in late winter .
I have tried a few times and built a few nice piles , but to be sure others know exactly where .
I like the more constant level lakes for cover placement most of the time .

Yeah, ya gotta be a little sneaky about it, Ketch! You have tons of other great spots to tell tales about!

you know sir sometimes it makes my heart happy to know someone found my brush, condo , rock pile etc .
met a boy the other day about 9 years old and he was casting for bass with a crank bait .
during our conversation he said he had a crappie on but lost it .
told me he was using a jig at the time and fishing in a "tree" someone put in the water and pointed to a bamboo condo I dropped .
i chuckled and said yes sir there is a "condo" right there and explained how it was made and exactly how it sat on the bottom and that there would be more in the area soon and it wont be just one crappie at a visit either .
