Default Nice day on the lake.

Forecasted warm sunny light winds today. They got it right this time. I was able to fish anywhere I wanted to on Shenango lake today. One other boat out but they were leaving as I was setting up at 10. Fished 5 different areas and caught fish from all of them. Put a nice limit of crappies in the box and some white bass too. Hope this upcoming forecast holds up. It’s great being the only boat on the lake.

Now that’s a really nice day!
I too love when I don’t see any other boats.

A nice day, yes, but looks like you had a great day too, with all those fish.

I kept six and gave my neighbor the rest. He has an electric scaler so it doesn’t take him long to clean them. I hope the forcast holds true for next week.

Plenty of ramp left at Mahaney and campground launches. Been using both for a good many years at this time of year. As for the Gamma line, if he had a pro staff for his panfishing lines, I’d probably be on it. Haha. Been using it for a few years now. The poly flex hi vis is very good. I have some in 4, 6, and this year, 2 pound test. Got my striper on 2 lb test a couple weeks ago.

Not as much experience as Chaunc with gamma, but had a good season with the 2lb panfish hi viz. I couldn’t find Stren crappie in 2 lb, so tried this. I have one spool left for 2022 and plan to use it. I thought it spooled up very easy and had a good hand.
