Default Another first, 2nd of the year

Both from down in wild, wonderful West Virginia. The weather was great the past two days, however, the water is very cold. Monday, fished a lake back in the woods in Pa. Couldn't connect using spoons deep so decided to try a Gulp minnow on a drop shot and did manage one nice gill. Still had great colors. Today, I headed down to West Virginia for a few hours and again the bite was slow. Two on spoons, a gill and my 2nd first. I'm sure someone on here can identify as either a white bass or striper hybrid? Either way, another first for myself and sure was a good fighter. Back in May, I caught my first Warmouth in a small pond right up the road from where I was fishing today.(next to last pic.). The last pic is of a vulture that landed on the dam bank(hard to see, black spot on top of bank) and watched me for quite a while. Finally flew off, I guess it decided that this guy wasn't lookin like a good bet to provide a fish dinner to anyone today!Name: DSC01456.jpg

    Nice !
I got to fish a spoon for a little while today .
With a soft plastic trailer the spoon has great action .
I’ve just got to find a better lake .

Yes, that bluegill was still holding its color pretty well. My last trip out they had lost a lot of their colors and were putting on their winter suits. Good pics and I could just make out the vulture. They are patient critters.
