Worse are those who drag anchors through a brush pile to destroy it. Two years ago somebody build a nice 20 ft x 25ft, 10 ft tall brush pile in a cove in Joe Pool Lake. Last year during the Spring I caught as many as 200 crappie a day fishing it during weekdays. I seldom keep anything so I might have caught some of them more than once.

Went back to fish it this January, somebody had destroyed it. Found 4 pieces of it in a 200 ft area around where it was. Still caught some but not near as many as when it was a huge brush pile.

Last month they came back and destroyed those 4 pieces. All you find now are small scatter pieces of brush laying around in the area.

Could have been the marina that destroyed it since it was about 100 yards from where they like to anchor their big party barge. But I never saw anybody fish it while they were anchored there. Who wants to try and fish with all the loud noise they generate while anchored. They call it music but when it's that loud it is just loud irritating noise.

Any day I'm fishing is a good day, regardless of what I catch.

Wish the lake I fished regularly would allow brush pile contractors/construction company work.....

It would take a good amount of weight to keep the brush in place on this waterway.
