Well, I don't fish those that much, but they say tail down, so it won't get caught on the hook point. I did use a Z-Man onetime tail down, and it still managed to get fouled up on the hook, maybe because Z-Mans are so stretchy.

Tail down & no wrist snap casts = less chance of fouling the tail on the hook point or wrapping the tail around the curve of the hook. I rarely use them, but this "advice" is from previous experiences from back when I did.![]()
Probably wouldn't matter all that much if you were using them for various trolling techniques (unless you cast them out vs dropping them in and letting line out), but I'm pretty sure you're not doing much trolling with them.And I wouldn't use them for shooting docks, either !!

Tail down where I fish in the shallow marshes because if they are rigged the other way, the hook catches the grass a lot worse!
