I fished Buckhorn lake near Wilson the other day. It seems to be ok. Anyone know much about it?

Buckhorn is a small near wilson, nc. It is clear water with some plant life around the edges, very clean with nice ramps and restrooms. $10.00 ramp fee if you don't live in Wilson. It has very little structure and water depth to about 20 feet. I will be fishing it more because having moved it is closer than Harris or Jordan. It has Bass, bluegill, shellcracker. white perch, and blue cats that I have caught. May have other fish too but I have not seen any. I would think it would get very busy on weekends but it is not during the week. The fish I have caught seem to be very healthy. My hat is off to the city of Wilson for providing a good place to recreate.

I've heard it has some nice crappie in it too. Also heard it gets shallow in many areas and was hard to navigate for "outsiders" .
