Haha nice! Glad I could help feed the addiction!

You got really good separation with the crinkle. Wondering if that flat style head separates better than the walleye style head I used as mine didn’t separate that good and I used a heat gun. I’ve only tried it once and will have to try again.

    Nice!

How are you getting the crinkle paint to open up so much? Mine only opens up little holes to show the base coat. If I keep heating I melt head.

I will definitely say there is a fine line there. I too melted a couple jig heads. Try an make the paint look light gray after you dip it. The hotter the jig the more paint you get obviously making it look black. I dip my base coat wanting the paint to look chalky. Reheat it until it’s glossy. Then dip into crinkle. If it’s black wait a little before dipping into crinkle next time to cool. Less paint better. Should not be glossy at all until you hit the heat. Just what worked for me. I’m sure there are better ways I just haven’t tried any others. Let me know if I can explain further. Good luck.

If I have time tonight I’m going to try a couple in the oven without heating with heat source after dipping. I’m curious to see if the oven will make the paint do it’s thing.

Yeah I think I’m getting my head too hot on initial color. I did try letting cool a bit until I dipped the crinkle and it came out powdery.
