    Default Full Moon

Red moon and rough water, but the fish were cooperative. Males have beds almost ready, and females just out a little deeper and fat.Name: 20210328_195457.jpg

Amazed they ain’t already done in there . Such are the many eccentricities of the waters across the US .
Our black crappie in most spots locally are long done . Heck I saw burned down whites yesterday.
Missed that spot by at least a month . But the spot I visit today is all over the map and hasn’t really got hard with shallow fish just yet .
Such is the local spawn with the crappie in the DFW area .
One thing for certain your fish look to be midstream doing it .
Congrats for sure and and for sure Kaboom

Real nice catch. My stream is very quiet but temps are coming up and the days are getting better. Glad you’re on to them!

The next full moon will have another part of the population in the peak of spawning, and then it will be post spawn patterns until June when summer patterns are the rule.

Well, the full moon must have kept them up all night, they were difficult to get to bite. I finally got to 50 fish, but it took all day and I am tired. What an awesome fishery, a normal size one is 14", and I caught several little ones today that I didn't think were sexualy mature yet, but they are at 10.5".Name: 20210329_095249.jpg

Nice fish! What was the water temp? I'm north of you and I believe we are few weeks behind you.
