Thread: Slow at t hill but had a backup

Got to cabin and hit couple places that have been producing but 3 inches of cold rain shut things down. Same this morning and no close in turkey gobbles. Got the word from on high I had to return for the big V so headed home. But called my good crappie bud with stocked pond of crappie and got the go ahead and it was on!

First drop off dock and huge bass grabbed it took off and then another and another. This is more like it but needed to find crappie. Moved jig aways and Boom big thump and 14 inches comes up after good fight. Took pic and released as there are big crappie in there but I have to release anything over 11. Caught another Slab in between bunch more bass on my UL POLE. pic and release, hooked several who got off then finally caught couple keeping size. Now more big crappie and bass before finally figured to throw on other shore 2 pick up more keepers. Ended with nice mess but needed to hit road had 2.5 hrs drive time. He was disappointed i didn't take more but ill be back. Finally got off the one fish limit I had in Florida.
