Thread: Eufaula Fishing report

Was there yesterday and it was crowded! I don’t like fishing this crowded of areas as there were people just anchored to spots everywhere and I like to move around. I did manage to bob and weave through the crowd. WT was around 55-57 ish. Brought home 20 and caught around 35. What I kept were mostly females and caught in 8-16 FOW which tells me the males are up shallow. Think it is really going to get hot real fast. Used two baits all day. 1/4 oz head with. 2.75” body I bit half the head and half the tail off to make smaller profile and a 1/16 oz hand tie with a 1/4 weight above that they chewed the eye pupil off the backing. Guess I need to put glue over this style eye. Had several between 1.75 - 2 lbs. hope this helps.

Myself and a friend went last Monday,(15th), with one of the local guides and had pretty much the same results. Water temp about the same, caught 45 in 8-12 FOW, 1.5-2.3 lbs, only threw 2 back. Wind kept us in coves all day. We fished north of the 40 bridge out of Gentry Creek. First time for me to use Livescope, WOW! Had a blast and will do it again for sure.
