    Default Reel choice???

Can I get some suggestions on what reel I should rig on the 10 ft. BnM BrushCutter rod.
    The lightest and smoothest drag.
    Thanks in advance
    Chuck

You want be casting a 10 footer so a reel will just be a line holder. I use spinning reels why many use cheap baitcasters. A Shimano 1000 series reel like a Sienna would be a good choice. They will cost you around $30 and they work well.

Another choice is Pflueger Presidents. Not badly priced, maybe the 25 size would fit your needs. Available at many stores. Mine are smooth and do a nice job.

If you really want the best then Shimano Stella is the way to go. Just be sure to be sitting down when you look at the price.

Hard to beat the presidents but for a cheaper solution I buy these . Started out getting them for loaners /kids . Now I use them on bream/ crappie rigs to cut cost .Plenty smooth and good drag . Name: 20200302_172209.jpg

Presidents are my go-to for casting rods, but too expensive to rig a bunch of long poles with them. BPS has a black one called Megacast @$30 that is very smooth for the price. But my long rods have reels that are even cheaper - they are just line holders really.
