    Default 8 mile creek

Caught 3 crappie. One keeper. But caught probably 20 gills. First ones ive caught there. Just not much size to most of them. Was a nice day early until the wind picked up so I cut it short.

Thanks for the report. I thought about driving down that way with the south wind but decided to stay closer to home!

Yep, that's how I ended up at Ditto. If rain moved in I was only a hundred yards from the truck.

I did go to arrowhead and got there before sunrise and made it across the bay into the creek where I promptly lost my prop due to a loose or broken plastic nut.....thats a long mile and a half paddle back to the ramp and I knew the wind was supposed to pick up so instead of fishing I started paddling...took about an hour to cross it sculling most of the way.....lots of boats were out there and the ones I could see that were near me in the bay were catching fish...

Yeah that place can be unforgiving if the wind gets up.

Good job DK on making use of what was in front of you.

I got a feeling I who one of those boats were that was netting fish.

That bay can be lots of fun this time of year spider rigging, but only if the wind doesn't get up. If we can just get a week of sunny days in upper 50's and low 60's the Crappie will move into pits. They won't spawn for several more weeks, but they sure stack up waiting for conditions to get right.

Seen you troll across the bay early, then seen you sculling back. I figured you were fishing since you were sitting on the front sculling. If you would have hollered I would have trolled you back to the ramp. Ill never leave a man stranded.
