I don’t need another rod set up but if I did that would be a great addition to my arsenal. I counted yesterday and ended up with 40 rod and reels rigged up. Might just give one of my sons a few of my older set ups to make room.

My rods took a while to get here but that’s why I order during the fishing off-season so I don’t need them tomorrow.

I just saw where a book of maps that was ordered in mid Dec was delivered to my shop today. The tracking info had it going all over the country and thru the same postal office twice.

That’s no hoax. I order a lot of gear out ofJapan. They stopped mail service to the states...and other countries....about 9 months ago. The shops there just in the past few months were able to ship out via FedEx and DHL. Very few regular flights are operating out of the states to other counties.....thus no regular mail. The good news though is since they started shipping via FedEx and DHL I get packages out of Japan in 36 hours.....that’s pretty darn good if you ask me.

    Regards

Ed Duke is a heck of a guy, I won one of his rods at the 2019!Louisiana Gathering
Next morning I went to use it and discovered the tip was cracked. I emailed him then and there and it was a Sunday......heard back within a couple hours. He told me he’d send a new one, I figured if he was going that far out of his way I’d order one to match.
I’ll always be a supporter of Ed due to his customer service.....and he’s a heck of a nice guy in general.

I've got to use my Southern Crappie Rods 10/2 Stump Jumper a couple of times now and absolutely love it! The balance is amazing and when I choke it up for a close drop, it is like having a 6 foot pole with no reel on it. I swung a couple of crappie well over a pound each yesterday with zero reservation.

This grip is exactly how I cut my rod handles down. Long enough to fit in a rod holder if needed but short enough the not jab you in the ribs when jigging with 2 poles at the same time. These handles allow your elbows to hang in a normal, comfortable position "Dual" poling. I think they're fantastic..............

My 10 footer is ok but the person that decided where to place the guides missed the boat. The top guide on the butt piece is so far back that it doesn't let you break it down into 2 equal pieces properly.

I’ve found as I learn more tactics for the Livescope, my need for a 13-14’ rod decreases. After fishing with Matt Mavigliano of 3 Pound Fishing and hearing Charlie Bunning at Grizzly Jig Show, I’ve been using my 6 ‘ spinning rod about 40% of the time with Livescope.

Has anyone tried the 12' Stump Jumper yet? On website says it is a little stiffer for lifting and swinging the fish in. Trying to decide if I want a long rod for livescope use. They are cumbersome to use in kayak but handy to have sometimes.
