    I was thinking the same thing as Deepfry. Is it special or just a sewing pin? The spawn is days away here, I think, and one of those in gray would be a knockout under a cork. Really like the idea.

    I use both of these. The sequin pins for smaller beads and the 18 gauge brass pins for the larger ones. I cut the pin shafts to be slightly shorter than the hook shaft.     I use tungsten and brass fly tying beads a lot. However this one is a solid brass bead that is used to make in line spinners. They come in many sizes. Got mine from Netcraft. Hope this helps you.
