Not to start a quarrel but I’ve fished eelgrass on the mid/upper end of the lake out on the main river ledges for over 20 years.

I know a couple places on the Flint River has it. Usually every big rain will cut it back really short, but it's there. My guess is any increase in nitrogen will get anything growing like crazy. Duckweed is always a weird plant too. It can take Nitrogen from the air and fix it into nitrate which will sometime contribute to aquatic weed growth also. One of those weird facts I know from always fishing supper skinny water.
