    I’ve caught a good many crappie on this jig and will no doubt catch a few more until I lose it. A minimalist version of said Popeye with an unpainted head in #8, 1/43oz. Sometimes doesn’t take much to catch their fancy.

    I agree with Skeetbum. Popeye type jigs are killer on lots of different species of fish.
