    Default Another transducer mounting question


    Fiberglass boat. Would you epoxy it in the hull? Mount on a piece of starboard, on the transom? Mount on the jackplate?

    Bilge mount for 2d thru fiberglass is a good option ...

    SI or DI need to be in the water ...

    Some are even lucky enough to get good 2d digital depth from a transom mounted SI/DI xducer - but it’s challenging (due to SI/DI xducers being brick shaped and not very hydrodynamical) ...
