    Forgive my ignorance but what is the brand name of the speed clip in the first pictures. I would like to try those. Thanks

    not sure myself . i found some years ago in stainless and tried them a bit .
    kills good jig action like a silver bullet on a werewolf though .....btw
    sum kawl me tha outlaw ketchn whales

    The older I get the more avid about outdoors I become. Great report. It ain't the keepin any more that blows my skirt it's the Ketchen. Kaboom

    OK. I'll slid down this slippery slope. In theory the speed clip should work as well as a loop knot. Either way should allow the jig eye to pivot the same as opposed to a jam style knot. Maybe it's the friction of metal against metal instead of against the mono that makes a difference. It's to tricky for me.

    Well in winter I tied my jigs off hard to the eye and center the knot before every drop in the water. It catches a lot of fish!

    I've used them with success in the past. The reason I stopped using them was loss of bigger fish during the fight to get them on board. Sometimes the jig would come off the clip during the process of landing the fish. But I have the same problem with the loop knot. Sometimes the jig will slip out through the slight gap in eye of the jig.

    They look like a useful accessory when changing colors till you find the right combo. I never fish hardware attached to my baits if "Seriously" fishing. I tend to bounce around before 12pm with the jigs then knuckle down till the sun is on the trees.
