very nice

Since last Friday, I've had several good late afternoon sessions before sunset (an hour or less) reeling in good numbers of crappie and white perch. Today was especially good as I got into some larger crappie. They were swallowing the 1/4 oz Dark Sleeper with vigor.
Later the bite slowed down, so I went with a smaller lure, the tiny Cultiva Pin Worm. I've had these for about a year and never seemed to get around to using them. Glad I did.
Rounded out the catches with a bluegill, catfish and a 3 pound largemouth. All in all, a good afternoon!

Great report with lot of details much appreciated! Couple of different baits that you normally don't see so that was interesting! I have bunch of baits caught on sale and have never tried. You inspired me to give them a go!

Nice Ambassadeur... never saw one that small. I have 3 vintage 5500C reels I bought in the 70s, and I still fish with them. Upgraded the drag washers to carbontex and installed new bearings.![]()

Great job and some really nice crappie there! I've got 4 Abu Ambassadeurs too. Great BC reels.
