Went Scouting for a few minutes
Only had about 15 minutes or so , tried under a float and also no float .
used a big long shad colored bait .
got 5 hits landed 2 fish and I think I missed one crappie .
The 2 other takes were bass ,as I saw them chase the bait down when I was reeling in to make another cast .
The crappie was buried on the bottom in the deepest water in the shade at that spot .
the good news is this , if I landed EVEN 1 crappie there midday .
that much midday activity there tells me about dark thirty its possibly
a TOAD festival .....
I need to go find my glo sticks by golly ,,,,
