    Default Doubling down on bluegill

The bluegill are finely done spawning up here in NE Ohio and I can start keeping them. I like to use 2 bison trout magnets in tandem 12" to 16" apart.

Doubling down on the trout magnets lets me cover 2 levels when fishing weed beds in 4' of water. I also get lucky and catch doubles every now and then.

Covering double levels (dragging bottom and 1' up) puts a bunch of bluegill on the stringer in a hurry. A stringer full of double bluegill per hook.

Tossed a bunch back keeping the larger bluegill or the smaller ones that got hooked damaged.

Just an all around great day, double trout magnets caught doubles & doubled up on the stringer hooks.

Nice mess of fish. I think just heard the dinner bell.
Pass the "Sportsman Baton" on before you're gone, promote values for others to hunt and fish upon.

I'm going to try that, the double jigs should help with casting distance.I use tandems all the time with speckled trout, and it always produces good results.

Great catch. A lot of the Crappie guys around here use two jigs for that same reason of covering different depths and casting distance increase. Good eating on that stringer.

I just tied one up, and went in the backyard, and got really good distance with 2 lb fireline.
