Nice Mother day evening.
Got to take my wife out for crappie fishing on Mother’s Day evening. She got to catch her first crappie jigging under dock. At the end she caught about 6 and of course I had a blast caught about 15-20 casting into school of shad. Also got to help another mother and her your kid caught their first crappie ever. What a fun evening got to spend time with wife on the thing I love to do.
Oh and a selfie time lol, haven’t show my ugly face here for awhile.

You gotta see my face, when that little girl horsing in crappie across the water like a pro in FLW. She almost flip that 12” crappie on the dock. The problem is she was using My favorite Shimano Crucial rod which I cannot find it anymore lol.Originally Posted by USMA65

Speaking of shimano crucial. I’d been searching high and low for UL crappie rod. Turn out this Crucial ML 6’8 1/16-1/4oz is the best. I can cast 1.5 gram with baby shad a good 75 feet up and more accuracy. Pairing with Tatula 2000 LT and 6lb Nanofil, I have to give second look to all my 5 baitcaster crappie setup. I slayed them good yesterday with 14” slab for my last fish.
