Default swan creek kayak report ( pic heavy )

I fished swan creek behind the old GM plant Thursday. I fished from 11 till 4 with a mixed bag of fish. I caught about 25 shell cracker bluegill mix, 6 bass and 4 crappie. The wind was blowing the grass mats around so much that it was hard to find any open water to fish. I saw a cotton mouth in the little Chanel that leads out to the open water and another at the spring. I left them alone and they went on there way. The water is high and getting out to open water is a little difficult. I caught all on a hair jig and 1 in grub. I did catch 4 or 5 on a fly rod with a popping bug. Not a bad day ( for me anyway )

I was surprised by all the little Crappie in that hole this year. I caught some as small as 4 inches on my last trip.

Nice job, great day out. Watch out for them cotton mouths I’ve seen people cast to them and touch them with their line and they will follow the line in and come in the boat with ya, have seen it a few times up at reel foot.
