Man, I'd give a lot to be able to fish with my dad again. I'm glad you guys are able to get out there and enjoy time together, whether you fill the box or not.

That pond was phenomenal when I was growing up! I have been trying to get him to fill in that cut for YEARS and make the pond back to a land locked pond. In years past when that cut was filled in or mostly filled in, the water in the pond would get supper clear and we would tear up the bass and bream in there. The way it is now, the brackish water from the bayou flows in and out of there which also keeps increasing the size of the cut. I plan on trying to do something about it in the near future. If anyone has any suggestions, I am all ears. I plan on at least running a fence across it this summer and hopefully starting to fill it in a little at a time.

That's what everyone keeps telling me! lol The pond with the sunset picture is actually the 1st pond off the bayou and then it goes through that cut into the pond that goes behind my mom and dads house, it also runs behind 3 other houses in that area. We use to fish it all when I was young but it all has new owners now. I really miss those days of my childhood!
