    I can get brand new 12" gen2 mega Si or new 9" mega+ gen3 for same price.
    I have zero Humminbird experience.
    All i want is excellent scanning for brush in 35 ft of water max.
    Wont use 2d sonar much.
    So would you get , same $

    If your not planning on buying the mega 360 then the 12 is way to go. Basically going to have same quality picture. Some going to say get latest tech because the 2 is outdated all ready but I don’t necessarily subscribe to that theory. By the biggest best unit for the money.

    I just got a 12 and I have no regrets going with the gen 2 verse the gen 3.

    I have a 8, 9, and a 12. My old eyes thanked me for the 12 especially when I put it in three views. Mine are G3N but I want mega 360.
