Nice job Ditch. That lake has some big shellcrackers.

I made a trip to Madison County Lake Friday afternoon looking for clear water and a place out of the wind. I found neither. The water had visibility of maybe 10 inches and the wind was brutal! My anchor (8 lbs for a kayak) wouldn't even hold me so I could cast the brush piles. I ended up casting the edges catching gills and small bass. No Crappie, but kept 15 Shellcrackers that were 10 to 11 inches. Not bedding, but scattered, one here and one there. I ended up giving them to someone on the dock that was going home empty handed.
The water was 63 degrees and best bait was a 1" slider (Black with Chartreuse tail) on a safety pin spinner and 1/32oz jig head.

Glad to hear the lake is open to get away even with the shelter in place order.
I got up and walked outside and felt that wind I knew it was no use for me to go. Just worked around the house. About got all the honey do list done. So when the weather does cooperate there’s no excuses. Lol
