Question Softopper - canvas/folding camper shell

Anyone have one? Experience with it?
I have it in my mind, a softopper with some kind of sliding drawers, would be the ultimate. Wife says NO! She likes the look of the tonneau cover we have. So, there is that hurdle. I need a good counter-argument!!!!!
This is for a Nissan frontier, 5' bed.
As for "truck" things, we have a utility trailer.

I contemplated a hard shell, a problem for me is, the frontier had a slight body change for 2018. Thus, only toppers 2018 and newer, fit properly. This was about a year ago, when I wound up getting a tonneau cover.
Which means, there are not many used ones out there. I called multiple shell/topper dealers, both new and used.
Plus, Wifey is dead set against a hard shell.
Of course, she was also against me selling a working boat, and getting a project boat.

I can relate only too well. When me and mine got together I had a project baja bug. She said she hated VW bugs period. my answer was, then don't ride in it...well it went and I got my 14' Rich Line that is my project now...and she says she'll never go for a ride or fish from it either....Well I ain't get rid of it no matter what...
