    Default Swing & a Miss

early in the game, however, was able to go for extra bases later ....Started Saturday morning in the dark to pick up some red worms in hopes of finding some Gill varieties, but just wasn't meant to be. Found hundreds of beds on lake Jesup in different locations, although no fish holding on them, they looked larger than gill beds & got me pondering if other fish use different species beds or not, well that's for those to answer with much better fish biology skills than I have, but would be interesting if 1 could return as the Gill spawn went on & find them in the same area.....oh well....after no luck (3 hrs).... broke out the trolling poles as back up (plan B) & went to open waters, was picking 1 up here & there, till finding a concentration of Specks that made things pick up at a good pace. Ended up w/ bout 39, & remembered the Easter dinner was occupying the fridge space, so a limit went back to grow a bit more for someone else to catch, after a quick photo shot....was just satisfied for a day OTW W/nearby ramp was open & although it's hard to see, they placed a digital road sign that read " Social distancing/ 50 ft boat on water.......Water patrols enforced" & the FWC was seen for the 1st time by me on Jesup, grateful they allowed fisherman/women the chance to get out while respecting others doing the same....stay safe!!!Name: IMG_20200411_145105754_HDR.jpg

Thanks for sharing your trip. It lends encouragement in these times to see some normal activities with good outcomes. You blessed in any case to be that close to nature and Him.

Good catch Jeff, and good job on the throw back. It’s so windy that I’ll be challenged to not look like a sailboat. Some really nice fish in the Livewell.

Thanks for sharing. People here in Ohio at the lakes I fish aren’t social distancing, docks and ramps are overcrowded with no social distancing or regard for others trying to adhere to the recommended precautions. I am encouraged by posts like this since I am not taking any chances with pre existing conditions.

Can't find the words to completely explain it, but my best reflective moments in life come while spending time on the water.....
