Common sense ain't that common any more. Picnic area's makes sense. With the weather swinging , like it has , how many group's of people are planning large gatherings ? Boat ramps WOW. It really makes you think who is behind all this ? Lake Jordan here is Corp. of engineers , there's one ramp that I know of with guard shack but nobody's ever there. That's crazy.

Our Quabbin Res, where Walt & I catch most of our crappie each season, may be in jeopardy of not opening on the 3rd. Sat. in April. If it comes to pass, that will be one tough pill to swallow!

Ramps are open as the Louisville Corps of Engineers left them open to use but all facilities closed. I stopped by Monroe Res. In Indiana and checked Cutright at Monroe Res. after fishing Lake Lemon and a few had launched there. COE has a retraction on Facebook that only the ramps are open and usable.,

I believe Nature is the one behind all this. I haven't seem any claims that this virus is man made yet. I doubt that China created this virus and released it on their people.

Let's look at the big picture instead of just our personal wants.

It is an inconvenience not to be able to fish when we want. I know that I consider it to be an inconvenience since I fish daily.

We have experienced the lakes being closed several times here over the past few years in the DFW area of Texas due to lake being closed due to the reservoirs being at flood level. The crappie were still there when we were allowed back on the lakes again.

I suspect that closing the unmanned ramps were just another one of the mistakes made so far in dealing with this virus. I expect that it will be short term and rescinded as soon as it is realized that closing unmanned ramps does not accomplish anything.

Let's be more concerned about those people who no longer have a paycheck due to their business being closed than our inability to fish if that happens.

Any day I'm fishing is a good day, regardless of what I catch.
