Sorry for the late reply. I just remembered this.

Anyway, if you're dropping the TM straight down, the Thill Center Slider is a great alternative:

Thill Gold Medal Center Slider Float | FishUSA

It can handle more weight, so you can use bigger shot and let the TM balance it so that just the tip shows.
