Thread: trolling rod vs jigging rod

I bought a couple of B&M Sam Heaton super sensitive jigging poles. I have been using them for longline trolling and I like how light they are and they dont "droop" on the end like some poles I have used.What is the difference in a trolling rod and jig rod?

i use the same rods for trolling, im sure there is a difference but i dont know it
