    Default Crappie near Lady’s Island?

I have a buddy that moved there less than 2 years ago. He’s in love with the saltwater fishing all around him and I can’t say I blame him, it’s incredible!
But are there decent crappie lakes or rivers near him? He doesn’t seem interested in finding out yet. I plan to visit him possibly sometime this year and spend a few days near the surf or in the big blue water. Was wondering if I could take him to some place nearby with decent crappie if the salty stuff is a bust.

Not really sure where Lady's Island is but I "think" youre about an hour away from Santee, SC where there is excellent crappie fishing.

Lady's Island is across the bridge from Beaufort SC !!! and yes there are places to catch crappie , the best choice would be where gabowman suggested , Santee its about hour away and has some of the best fishing SC has to offer when it comes to freshwater fishing !!! the Combahee River is a lot closer and its blackwater has some good fishing as well , loaded with gators and not a easy river to navigate and fish if you are not familiar with the river or area !!! I was born and raised in Beaufort and used to love fishing the Combahee , but I would not send someone to fish there if they was not from that area !!! ya'll will enjoy a trip to Santee for sure !!!
