Is what this Wisconsin rock bass tasted like . I have heard rock bass isn't good eats and as I remember as a kid when I managed to ketch them they tasted pretty good .
So when my bud brought me a bunch of fillets back in the summer I decided to try them using a recipe we like when we bake crappie fillets .
He called and asked me if I wanted a bag and I said sure . So I sent him a few photos of the event last night as he is now in the Florida keys ketching triple tail . We did add a little coconut to the original fish coating though and to be sure they went away fast when they came out of the oven .
350 in a preheated oven on a pammed cookie sheet after an egg bath and pressed into the shake and bake mixture and for sure they were the ….
KABOOM is the word
p.s. yes I opted for the jalapeno ketchup and tartar sauce ,the wife went with the avocado salsa![]()
