According to the solunar table that I go by, the feeding period today was from 1-3, so I had my wife launch me at 11 for two hours of scouting before I settled in on a spot that I wanted to be during the feeding period.
While scouting, I caught 6 short crappie and hooked up 4 spotted bass, landing two and eliminated lots of water that I was curious about since I hadn’t been crappie fishing in quite a while.
I got back to my spot around 1:30 pm and in less than two hours was fortunate enough to land 17 keepers, 5 shorts, and 1 yellow bass. I quit fishing about 3:20, called Wanda to bring the trailer to the ramp and pick me up.
Water temp was 49.1 when I started, but it was 51 by the afternoon. 53,000 cfs water flow and lake beginning to clear some from the muddy water that the creeks poured in the other day. The fish were along a creek channel in 20-25 feet of water and chartreuse was a good color.
