It sounds like I have the craft hair you mentioned. All the jig are packaged solo in little plastic zip lock bags. If I take them out and put in my tackle box, the do become entangled if I put more than two in a tray. So it look as if you guys are narrowing it down for me. Thank you all so much for the help....

MYSTERY SOLVED!!!! I called the vendor in Tennessee about the hair in question and as we talked he advised he sold this same hair to a jig maker in Louisiana. He offered his name and come to find out, it is the same folk who has made my jigs for years. Mystery finally solved thanks to all the advice and research results I received from fellow Crappie.com friends. Thank you all so much. I'm really excited waiting for my jig hair to arrive so I can get busy making for myself...A merry Christmas for me and wish you all a very Blessed Christmas time with family and friends....

I don't know the difference or if there is one between craft fur and craft hair? Seems as if there is one though but I'm now aware of what it is. I think maybe something to do with the texture or length? IDK? Thanks for your help SuperDave and al ofl you who help me narrow it down. Once the vendor volunteered the name of the jig maker he supplies in Louisiana, I knew I had the right stuff.

    Bayou Bud,
Can you tell me the name of the hair for the Black Lake jigs and a possible supplier? Black Lake is out of business now so I need to make some jigs if possible.

    Thanks

Thanks rich mc! I have seen both synthetic fur and hair so was curious if someone knew which Black Lake was using. The company is now out of business so can’t buy the jigs anymore. I will check out the site you recommended. Thanks again.
