Lake Hickory, Jumbo Perch are starting to show up
Went out yesterday with a guy that's never perched fished before. We tore them up. Louisiana swamp worms and red wigglers, dyed chartreuse with worm glo, were once again the ticket for a full cooler. Big perch munch on worms just fine, in fact the world record white perch was caught on worms. Crappie minnows, don't need them for good perch action and quality fish. Ended up with 60 fish kept, and a bunch of throwbacks. Main channel was a muddy mess but we were fishing on a tributary.
