I have not used the Troutist line but will be ordering some real soon. The extrusion process they use on the Troutist Area 3# test makes the diameter only .128mm. You can get 3# test with the casting distance of 2# test. The Varivas Super trout Advance Sight Edition is a fantastic line also. I have a reel spooled up with some that has been on the reel for well over a year. It has no memory issues.....is still limp. But it is time for it to be replaced and I will do so with the Troutist line. I assume your question was about nylon line. Others have chimed in on the ester and or PE I would use too.
