For our 50th anniversary in 2017 we rented a beach front house at OBX over Christmas big enough for my 2 sons and their families.
That's where we went on out honeymoon and it is a wonderful place to visit.
Jennettes's Pier is the most remarkable ocean fishing pier I've ever seen. Even if you don't fish it's worth going to see.
A running joke that week was the kidding I took from my grandkids because it took me a couple of days to realize that OBX stood for Outer Banks. One even gave me an OBX bumper sticker for Christmas the next year.

. Late Wed and most of Thursday, filled up the coolers with whiting and puffers
. Friday, gale force winds and rain - no fishing
. Saturday, probably the best keeper black drum bite I've been a part of in a long time. Let many blacks and a few reds return that were 0.5in too short, but filled up 2 coolers with some 18in blacks and a few >20in reds. A few random pics below. Sorry, a couple of them wouldn't come in right side up and I didn't bother with trying to fix it.
