Thread: the crappie were NOT in the creek

I visit about once a week and every time I think its time . I have yet to find a crappie in my favorite creek this year . they don't want to be there for some reason yet and I have ideas why but none the less I am compelled to go look in there this time of year .
its very unusual for not a single crappie to be in there this time of year and to be sure it seems not EVEN a single one is in there .
the only good news this visit is I did find a few sunfish biting in a few locations and the one redbreast had me thinking I had my first creek crappie this year . and one of the larger bluegills had me going for a bit as well . most of the sunfish were pretty small though and I managed 3 species of them
maybe next time I suppose
