You are correct. Now, hand that outfit to a client who barely knows which end of the rod and reel points toward the water and let them count the color changes for depth. As I've said many times, I set up all my gear with my clients in mind and try to keep it simple. Sure, I often have clients who are probably better fishermen than me in their own right but the vast majority aren't.
As much as I respect you and your great contribution to the forum I must point out that the majority of fishermen are on non guided trips and maintain their own equipment. They may not see their way to invest 1000 in reels. 30 bucks in line can fill their needs. I see why you need the easiest means for the client. That said I only have it on a couple of my reels. Works ok.
