I went spider rig there on Tuesday. Got there kinda late, 9:00 am. Only caught 1. They had about 6 boats out there. Almost sank my boat. I was backing up the boat down the ramp and the boat came off of the trailer! Not all the way, about half way. Fortunately, the motor was trimmed all the way up and was not damaged. Winched the boat back onto the trailer and launched. Checked the bilge pump after 15 minutes and no water came out. Figured I was good. After 3 hours of fishing , I decided to head back in. Saw water on the floor of my boat. Flipped on the bilge pump and a rooster tail come flying out the back. Cranked up and motored slowly along the bank to the launch. Picked up the boat and and looked under the back edge and saw 2 small holes in the hull. Shook me up.

Dang that's a bummer Dapet. I've had it happen to me once before and it's not a good feeling.

Only need three more years before I can think like a fish.

Sometimes just about as soon as they start coming up you can get bites
You might try going faster usually as the day goes by I speed up
You should see crappie fly up at 2.3 mph with 15 feet of line out

I started the day shallow and kept letting more line out. Started at 25' of line out and didn't get my first fish til I hit 45'. The rest of the day I stayed with between 45 & 50' of line out. And you are correct. I did have to speed up and it seemed to help.
