That’s why I try not to fish on weekends or Holliday’s. Well I went yesterday Memorial Day, getting to the launch about a half hr before daylight to get a parking spot. I made the run across Saline and set out the shiner poles and caught 5 before the sun rise over the top oh the trees they were 5’ deep in 9’ of water then nothing. On the screen the fish simbles were shallow less than 3’ so I adjusted real shallow I could see my top minnow right under the surface. A bunch of shorts and garfish. Then it started to get hot and time to head home. This is when the excitement started, I crossed back the lake and entered the creek getting close to Open Bayou I could see through the trees a bass boat coming and moved over to the right so we would pass on the 1 whistle side (port to port). As I approached the turn he was coming at a high rate of speed and about 200’’ he decided to turn in front of me and pass between me and the bank. I could see his passenger raising and lowering there arms to try to get the driver to slow down. I turned to the left to avoid the big wall of water from his erratic maneuver giving him the universal sign language for HELLO. This was a puckering moment even Spot went in attack mode. Well everything turned out Ok then to show me what kind of a person he was he stood up and gave me back the universal hand signal for hello. Be safe out there and if your IQ is less than your horse power starting with 1, 2, or 3 please be courteous to others. Sorry for the rant.

Bass boat rhymes with another word I'm thinking of. Most out there don't have any respect for the Crappie fishermen. JMO
Only need three more years before I can think like a fish.

I was zipping down Lake Concordia, (Well zipping for me, about 30 mph) and there appeared before me 6 people on plastic rafts out in the middle of the lake. There was enough of a chop that they were invisible from a distance. If a boat doing 70 was headed for them it could have been disasterous!! Had some friends out in the gulf hit a telephone pole floating in the water. They made it in, but the repair was extremely costly!

If you get to thinking something could appear that I couldn't avoid, or what if the nut on the steering came loose? Well, maybe you are going too fast.

    Glad Spot didn't hurt anyone!!
