    Question Roanoke Rapids Bait shops


    I'll be heading to Lake Gaston from 95 direction tomorrow. Anybody know of any good places to get minnows early, 6am... ? Would prefer someplace closer to Roanoke Rapids.

    They open at 7am. Washburns marina in Peahill creek has minnows also.

    I've gotten to the point Fishengineer that during the summer when crappie are ganged up on structure, I fish with Gulp minnows when I'm not using traditional jig bodies. Crappie love them and you don't have to worry about keeping minnows alive.
