like SK or out east, but I finally got into plenty of eating size bluegills at an old spot. C&R’d a few other species. I caught a handful of what looks like a hybrid between a green and warmouth, but I can’t tell for sure. 2nd photo...let me know what you think. Them whiskered fish kept trying to crash the party too so I decided to start keeping a few to teach them a lesson. First one I caught, below, was my first ever on a beetle spin. I was fan casting trying to find em quick and that little joker caught me by surprise. A bigger cat later about had smoke coming from the Mr. Crappie spinning reel I had setup on one rod. That poor thing was sttrruugglllinng lol.
Even with the wind and waves, and big annoying wakes created by way too many people, I still caught a fish pretty much every cast. If it went 20 seconds without a bream bite, I knew my hook was about to have a kitty on it. Easy enough pattern lol. Jiggin em here, and watching a float go under there. It was a lot of fun

Very nice catches, I like those busy trips like that.....
I not sure what mix that one is but it definitely looks mixed.....
Those ole cats will for sure put some slime on your line regardless of the bait you use.....
Stay At'um.....
Yeah, for sure. I made that gill look smaller than it was. It was 8". Had quite a few around that size. I really want to get into some redear now.
I stopped for a bit at a place to try for some crappie over the weekend too but the only bite I got was someones broken off line.
Stay At'um..... Banking it ain't easy especially with all the water in and being released from all the lakes right now....
